Join the Ocean Supercluster (OSC) team for an exciting and challenging opportunity as Digital Media Lead. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who is willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment as we connect with OSC members to grow Canada's ocean economy.

Type: Contract (1 Year), Full Time Location: Atlantic Canada

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Engaging and collaborating with the communications committee on video content;
  • Develop and create content, including material for social media channels, events and the OSC website;
  • Collect and collate information for promotional literature;
  • Help create, shape and enforce brand and social media guidelines;
  • Manage social media channels and marketing, including creating, managing and growing the company's presence through LinkedIn, Twitter and other strategically relevant online properties;
  • Video creation and dissemination;
  • Media platform management (YouTube etc.);
  • Lead efforts to re-design our website and perform ongoing updates and maintenance and proactively and continuously drive improvements to it as required;
  • Undertake story development, deck design, other collateral design.

Required Competencies

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma program completion
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role
  • Personable, presentable, articulate, and able to work effectively with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to research, collect, and analyze information
  • Proficient technical and design skills (i.e. Adobe, WordPress, Video creation software)
  • Video concept development, filming, and editing skills
